Trail Updates?

 

Hi Skiers,

Any ski trail updates from the Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Dubuque or any other area with lots of snow and good grooming?

It looks like the enjoyable ski season is going to boil down to this coming Friday (2/21/25) through Sunday morning.

If you are like me, you like to see lots of skiers on the trails so that encourages the groomers to continue their dedicated work and make their efforts worthwhile.    With the small window of opportunity lets make the most of it.

Irv Warren Golf Course Waterloo

 Skate skied on Irv Warren Golf Course this afternoon.   Waterloo Leisure Services groomed for skate skiing yesterday morning.   The skate deck is in excellent shape with just a few thin spots and very little drifting from yesterday’s wind.

The track was a little abbreviated from the last few years at 2.2 miles but it was great to be back on snow.

Waterloo Leisure Services posted that they might try to set a classical track later in the week.
