Redbird SWA, Johnson Co. (ungroomed)

Not bad. Fairly consistent track on most of the web of trails. Some foot traffic, but not much. Between the parking lot and the ponds, ice fishermen have dragged sleds, so it's pretty packed and nasty there. But once you get past the ponds, everything's good. Some natural treefall in the timber, but nothing you can't sidestep over. Some massive DNR tree work in the NE corner near fenceline, but this can be avoided by taking to the prairie grass. Some sections of Redbird are dynamite. The wet snowpack from last week made a nice base for the little bit of fluff we've had since then.
