MNRA 4 PM addendum - North Liberty, IA - 1/18/2011

As the day progressed and the freezing drizzle continued, the snow continued to "sink" so that there isn't a lot, but enough to groom. Good news is that the skate track will set up nicely I think, but the bad news is that the lack of snow makes for a poor classic trail. I was leaving a wake of leaves as I laid down the classic track. A skater trying out the new track commented that it was fast. Classic will be best in the open areas and worse in the woods (ie., expert area/black diamond area.)
