The Iowa Winter Games will be held this coming weekend, January 29 and 30 in Dubuque. The Mines of Spain Recreation Area will host the cross country ski races on the 29th. Both Classical and Skate Ski Races will be held starting at 10:00 am at the south entrance of the park off Olde Massey Road. The Skate Race will be held on the Prairie Ridge Trail and the Classical Ski Race will be held on the Prairie Ridge and Cedar Ridge Trails.
Be here early to practice Saturday morning. Trails are in good shape and will have a grooming on Friday afternoon.
