Maffitt Reservoir Update - Saturday, January 22

Direct from Duncan: Frustrating morning. Machine flawless for 20', then overheating. Of course, I was at the far end of the prairie. Made it back to shed in 5' segments with periods of walking around while the machine cooled. Upshot is 3 things:

• Prairie is groomed, skiable.
• Did not have the opportunity to check out the lake road or elsewhere.
• Machine must go to shop as soon as we can arrange it.

Big Creek was very nice yesterday. Anders & I thought the total climb in our prairie loop was more than you get at Big Creek. ( I concur - perfect skiing this morning at 6am - nice grooming!)
