A couple of inquiring emails and comments about when grooming will happen. Well not till it cools off more. 28 degrees is sort a pivot point used, if it's over that grooming probably isn't going to happen, at least around Iowa City. Brand new moisture laden heavy snow needs to cool off and dry out otherwise it packs into ice or a skating rink. Same with older snow and trying to condition the surface, too warm and you'll end up with a very fast but treacherous surface.
Hence my alluding to grooming as a mix of meteorology, alchemy, and mysticism...
