FW Kent Park, Johnson Co. (ungroomed)

Meh. There's snow and it's deep enough to ski in most places. Off-trail tree skiing is pretty much out of the question, however, and the Bob White hill has been tracked out by sledding kids. The prairie hill from High Point down to the prairie pothole is skiable but very thin for turns--use a lot of power. The hill down from High Point to the lake is thin and slow but doable, just don't fall down in the mutiflora rose section. If you go this way, the small huck off the bank onto the lake is a must--the only thrill in the park today. The hill from Red Haw to the lake is in OK shape but slow.

There's just enough snow to be able to wander off-trail in the park. All trails OK, but none great (typical Kent Park). Snow conditions are from manky to crusty. Depth from 1/2 inch to 5 inches.
