If you haven't skied on a layer of fallen hoar frost, you haven't skied! We have had terrific frost on all of the trees for the past two days. When it falls off of the trees, you get a nice new layer of slippery stuff on the trail.Temperatures have hovered around freezing during the past few days, but not much of our snow has melted. South- and west-facing slopes are very fast.
Conditions in general are fast today. Hope that the predicted sleet and freezing rain do not materialized and spoil it.
