Joe Lynch, Jeri Neil, and I spent 3 hours today moving sticks off the trails. We basically raked the entire trail system which I must say, was dang hard work. It probably doesn't look like much was accomplished but you should have seen it before! I'm not saying we deserve medals but we'd like some.
We didn't do the western-most river trail but we did cover everything else. There are still a lot of little sticks all over but with things re-freezing it was the best we could do.
I don't know a thing about grooming but I suspect that the trails would benefit from at least having something done to crunch up the crust and smooth things out a bit. If our groomer could do this it would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully a couple inches of snow will fall Mon which would help too.
Jeri and I skated everything late in the day and it was fast but pretty challenging to stay upright. The upside was that we enjoyed some good laughs picking ourselves up several times.
