This morning there was about an inch of fresh snow on the trails and the temperature was about 20 degrees. There had been quite a bit of melting in the last few days so the clasic track was mostly gone and there was ice under a lot of the new snow. The low area along the southern trail had water covering the trail so was impassable.
There was either some very sharp ice or some rocky area on part of the dike also along the southern trail. I was on top of it before I relized it and got some scratches on my skis.
The best classic skiing was on some of the trails that were never groomed in the past. They still had well defined tracks.
