Ashton - Iowa City, the skating snow was fast and a little wild, note I did not say rocket fast and trecherous. The classic track is in poor condition and there isn't enough snow to set another so classic skiers do your best and try to have fun. There is suppose to be a small warm up tomorrow so get out tonight and early tomorrow, cross your fingers and hope for snow.
Try to walk down to the trail from the parking lot as the 1st hill is all ice. I haven't tried to get the grooming sled through the new entrance however I'll check and see if it will fit for future safety - Brett
