Ashton's skating lane was groomed last night. I worked the bike trail poorly as the sled was blowing fuses and I wasn't interested in walking 3 miles back to Touch the Earth from IHOP.
Provided the classic grooves are holding up I will leave them alone. I'm counting on input from you, the classic skiers, to keep me informed on this.
The skate lane cleaned up pretty well and should be OK today, no guarantees. Conditions could be really fast and controllable or really fast and icy.
All, please help by advising walkers, hikers, runners, & snowshoers to KEEP OFF THE GROOMED SKI TRAILS! Advise non-skiers to use the bicycle path or foot traffic lane inside the skating lane. It is difficult to groom out trail scars from foot traffic as well as hard on the equipment. Be polite but stern to help preserve ski trails during the season. Brett
