23 degrees F., calm wind, sunny and plenty of snow
Here it is Birkie weekend and we are skiing on the Morgan Creek trails. Amazing! Everything was groomed and in very good condition. The warm up today made the tracks fast again. The skate lane was in very fine shape too. (Yes, walkers are leaving deep boot prints in places, but the sun has not yet drilled them down to the bare ground.) The only icy spot was on the Prairie Trail, but it was easy to get around. We had a fun time on the trails late this afternoon. But our thoughts are with the skiers in Hayward/Cable, WI. It should be a great race up there tomorrow.

Classic skied Sunday noon. About 35 degrees. The walkers have stayed out of classic tracks. Some dog prints but not too bad. Only about 20 yrds of ice on PRAIRIE section. The hikers have really done damage to skating areas. A fun afternoon skiing.
